Seth

When I fell pregnant with Seth I was completely overjoyed. However at a routine blood test results showed I was at high risk of Down Syndrome at this point I decided to go ahead and have an amniocentesis to put my mind at rest. The results were back the following day and confirmed I was carrying a baby with Trisomy 21 Down Syndrome, I was gutted. We were both shocked by the news and it took some time to get our heads round the news. I do think knowing prenataly helped as it gave us the opportunity to learn about the condition and prepare for our new arrival.

Since having Seth life is very different and it can be challenging at times. Seth is such a beautiful loving little boy who's always happy and has the most infectious smile. He can be quite feisty and he's very determined. He enjoys playing with his toys and his favourite are his noisy ones, and he absolutely loves music and makes us laugh with his dancing. Seth is allways chatting while out and about shopping which is lovely to see as everyone is very positive towards him. He's my angel and I wouldn't change him for the world.

My advice would be though it might be scary it's most certainly isn't its just different. Embrace it, take each day as it comes and your baby will bring you so much love.
