Down Right Beautiful
Down Right Beautiful is a Down Syndrome awareness project I created to spread positivity and challenge misconceptions about Down Syndrome. The project features 32 incredible individuals—babies, children, teenagers, and young adults—each with their own unique story. Every participant had a photoshoot with me, and their parents shared heartfelt insights about their lives, experiences, and advice for new or expecting parents of a child with Down Syndrome.
This project has been a source of immense pride for everyone involved and marks the beginning of many more awareness initiatives to come. Down Right Beautiful gained national attention, appearing on BBC Midlands Today, Channel 5 News, and in the Solihull and Coventry Observer. The response was overwhelming, and we hope to continue educating and inspiring others about what it truly means to have Down Syndrome.
